WHAT WE'RE ABOUT
Warehouse Christian Ministries is a fellowship of believers from all walks of life who have come together with the common vision of growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. An emphasis is given to challenging lives to change through studying the Word of God, worshipping God in spirit and truth, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ and others.

Our purpose as a community of believers is to share the good news of Jesus Christ, to make disciples, and to equip each person for service to the Lord. It is our firm conviction that every believer has a personal calling to service, and the various ministries in the church provide opportunities for gifts and talents to be discovered and expressed.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe God is triune: all three persons co-eternal and equal. We believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully God and fully man. He was preexistent with the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, crucified under Pontius Pilate, and resurrected by the power of God.

We believe human beings, created good, nonetheless disobeyed God and fell. Furthermore, humans, sinful in nature, cannot save themselves or be reconciled to God on the basis of their good works. We believe that reconciliation was initiated by God and based solely upon the atoning death of Christ on the cross. We believe the Bible is the Word of God, trustworthy and authoritative for every area of life.

We believe the Holy Spirit calls, separates and sanctifies believers, enabling them to bear fruit in Christian  works, not as a means of earning salvation, but as demonstration of the power of God in the life of an individual or a community. We believe God has called every Christian to some kind of ministry. The job of the church is to equip its people for these works of service, to build up the Body of Christ, and carry the gospel to uttermost parts of the world.

OUR HISTORY
Warehouse Christian Ministries started out of Louis and Mary Neely's apartment as a Bible Study for young people. Louis and Mary had spent many years as missionaries for a mainline denomination. As they settled back into America in the early seventies, they found a culture embedded with the hippie movement, the Vietnam War, rock and roll, drugs, and a fascination with eastern religions. After much prayer and consideration, they began an outreach to these young people, presenting the truth of Jesus Christ in a relevant and simple manner.

Believing in the clear calling of God, Louis and Mary continued the Bible Study, with the support of a few Christian businessmen who shared the vision. Mary had been following the "Jesus Movement" in Southern California. In short order, Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa flew to Sacramento to meet with Louis. He dedicated the new building, a "Warehouse" that the Bible Study met in. Warehouse Christian Ministries officially opened its doors on April 28, 1974.

Warehouse has sought to follow the model of the New Testament church as closely as possible. And that is to equip people to build up the Body of Christ and carry the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the world.
